Hi all,
I am just beginning this new journey. I have been to the nutrition class and all the evaluations. My next event is the stress test. I am 57 years old. My thyroid stopped working and I have gained to the point that it has to stop. I went to weight watchers for a year and lost 25 pounds. I lost 40 at physicians weight loss. For each time I lost weight, I gained it right back and more to go with it. So now I want the total life transformation to forever more eat right and be healthy. I know this is not a cure all. But I plan to use this tool the best it can be used. I am tired of not being able to do simple things, tie my shoes, polish my toe nails, cross my legs. I want to run as well as walk. So it is the journey of can do instead of what I can not do. So for all of you that have already been here, that is what I want to do, share what you know with me. All tools are wonderful and nothing is better than those that have been right where I am today.
My personality. I have always been a go getter. I have been positive. I was married and had 3 children. i had a husband that thought he never had to be home. So even married I lived as a single mom. After 28 years I had enough. Sometimes it is better to be alone than be with one that does not want to be with you. But in this plan my children side with husband so not only lost my marriage lost my girls as well. I k now I have suffered a lot with this one. But we can not make others love you. So with that said, I think that is always in the back of my mind. So when you want to make yourself the best you can be and not feel that you are less than because of weight or anything else. I have always been strong and I know I can be now.I have been a poultry producer for over 20 years and I now work for the USPS. So I am starting a new chapter in my book of life and I am open to any and all advice.
