Hey everyone!
My name is Greg Plover and I am a married father with three adult children. I live just outside of Philadelphia.
I found this site through a google search and my own filtering skills. I have been fighting yo-yo diets my entire adult life and have been on blood pressure medicine for quite a few years now.
I made the decision in July of 2013 to have some sort of surgery after hurting my back and discovering I had a herniated disc.I decided to go with the sleeve gastrectomy surgery because I didn't want any foreign objects in my body (band) and I didn't want to change my plumbing (bypass). I thought this surgery would allow me to absorb more nutrients of the food that I did eat. I had the surgery on January 6, 2014 and have lost about 30 lbs since my surgery. One of the good parts (the best actually) is portion control. I can walk away from food on a plate without issue. The bad part is that I wasn't fully aware of how bad I would feel the first week.
I can't wait for the weather to break here in the Northeast so that I can get out and exercise more. I can only be on a stationary bike or treadmill for so long before I get bored.
I look forward to working with everyone as we all strive to achieve our goals.
Regards,
Greg
