Sodas
I'm a few weeks out and had a glass of Coke Zero. No effects but that's not to say that many people don't have discomfort. The caffeine acts as a diuretic. Make sure you are getting all your liquids in. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

4 days post-op, trouble staying awake?
My Dr compared energy levels of a new Bariatric patient to a puppy... burst of energy but needs to sleep a lot. Day 6 for me and it's looking up. Best of luck. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

What should I bring to the hospital? Making a list.
Chapstick, toothbrush, toothpaste and hair ties. I used all their stuff. And when I wasn't sleeping I was walking. You won't need anything. I brought ipad, a book, cell phone, didn't use em. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

Any other November sleevers out there?
Perhaps some tomato Soup if that is allowed per your doctor recommended diet? Some of those are low in calories, but I don't know about sugar/carbs/fat. Definitely check with your nutritionist. I'm sure they hear that question a lot. Sent From BariatricPal App She and I have the same Dr. It's Protein shakes, h2o, broth, Jello and popsicles. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

When I asked if it was true that bariatric patients lose weight differently he said yes, pear shape is more likely, and he also said "you will look pretty awkward the first year". Ahhh! I wouldn't considered myself vain but.... come on awkward?!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
