Hey all. I have a friend here at work who is looking to get the lap band procedure in Mexico, as she is not covered here. I don't really know anything about that. I had my done here in the states. Anyone have any info that I can pass on to her- I would appreciate it. Thanks

Dr. Aceves in Mexicali is a great surgeon. He advertises right here on this site.

Since you're already banded, I know you're aware of how critical good follow-up care is to the success of the band. If your friend is able to get back to the doctor in Mexico for fills and care, then there's no issue. If she can't do that, she needs to be sure has follow-up care lined up before her surgery.
