Banded last week

hi everyone, my name is Sara. I was banded last week, and it's been an interesting week, to say the least. I live in a house where there is always food, so its seems like something is always taunting me. I'm looking forward to making it to the soft foods. I'm tired of the broth, but i know that it's just a small step to a huge outcome.

Hi Sara!

I was so sick of the Protein shakes; broth was a welcome distraction! I know it's hard right now, but you'll make it through

I know that it's worth it in the end. the thing that seems to be confusing me is my post-op instructions have me starting mushy/soft foods at the begining of week 2, and it seem like in every other thread that i've read its seems like everyone else is on liquids for at least 2 weeks.

I was on clear liquids for the first 48 hours, full liquids until a week after surgery, mushies for two further weeks, and then solids. So banded to solids in three weeks!

That makes me feel so much better. I was starting to think I was given weird instructions. Thank you
