Carbonation?

Hey everyone! I am now 30 days post-op and I was wondering when/IF I can drink any carbonation...? Thanks for your help!

Most doctors do not allow carbonated drinks as the gas and airbubbles can enlarge the pouch and possible errode the band, same with acidy juices. Believe me, you can live without soda etc.

My doctor allows soda. I do drink diet soda once in a while with no problem. I drink less now than before I was banded, and the less I drink it, the less I crave it.

Hi Benjamin.

There are a lot of previous threads that discuss this issue. Do a search and you will find them. It's quite a contentious issue as you will see from a recent thread!LOL
