Re-introduction!

Hi everyone! I go by thatfatchick (I also blog at Protein diet today, and next Tuesday morning I switch to Water, Soup broths and Gelatin. I'm scheduled for surgery at 9:00am next Wednesday, though I need to be at the hospital at 7:00am for admissions and all that jazz.

I am ridiculously excited and anxious. I wanted to post on the board (and a few others) before now (since I got my surgery date two weeks ago, actually!), but I forced myself to wait until the insurance authorization came through, "just in case". Well, Dawn at Hershey Medical Center called me this morning to let me know that Capital BlueCross approved the pre-auth, so I'm good to go!!!

Anyway, I'll be here a lot over the next week, as I want to be overloaded with plenty of information, advice, tips, personal stories, etc., in preparation for my own journey!

Oh, and stats, for anyone who is interested:

Starting weight: 331 lbs.

Current weight: 289 lbs.

Goal weight: 160 lbs.

Congratulations! I love your userpic, you're adorable BTW :tongue_smilie:

Hi Jenn re-welcome to LBT!

Did you mention you chose to get the gastric bypass instead of going for the band? I’m only curious because you probably won’t get much advice from this website in regards to the gastric bypass. We mostly focus on Lap Band WLS.

You are 100% welcome here regardless, just thought I’d mention that.

Best wishes on whatever you decide. It’s all about getting healthy and taking care of ourselves. You will do great, and keep up the good work. It’s a long road and one that never ends. It’s going to be a lifelong battle!!
