Please explain what your "sweet spot" feels like..

I've started this thread before but didn't get the answers I was looking for. I know that everyone's sweet spots are different, but please explain to me what your's feels like, I need details!!!

I thought I found my sweet spot but then I wasn't sure.. is it like love and when you fall in it you just KNOW? lol. I can feel my food go down but it doesn't stay in my pouch, is it supposed to? Or is it supposed to pass? I thought I had good restriction but I have never felt "full" from it, do you think that means I need more saline?

Help.. I'm a flippin goon here and I'm all sorts of confused.

  • My sweet spot is where I feel satisfied with a 3 oz portion of Protein and a 1/2 to 1 cup of veggies for about 3 - 4 hours. It's hard to explain because NO you don't feel the full feelings like you u

Oh how jealous I am of those of you who have found your happy spot!!! I think I've got too much in my band now. I just had my 7th fill this week and am at 7.75 in a 10 cc. . . I think I might fall back to the 7.5 simply because life was easier. I'll just diet more. It helped, but I think I might have expect it to do too much. . . at 7.75 I couldn't even take 2 sips of a slim fast this morning. That's not right is it?

My surgeon told me slim fast was a no no with lap band because it expands in your stomach. Thats why it makes you feel full, but you dont need that since you only have a small pouch now. I bet thats why you couldn't drink very much of it. I hear Optifast is band friendly. Have not tried it personally. I have had muscle milk tho and it's pretty good and has Protein. :)

I just had my second fill this past friday and I can tell a small difference each time. I can eat about a cup or more so I think in a month ill be ready for another fill. I get free fills for the first 3 months after surgery so I'm taking advantage of that! I still have yet to experience slimming or getting stuck (knocks on wood), but I'm sure it will happen after the third fill, I have a feeling that will be my sweet spot. Good luck to you!

I had that sweet spot the first 3 days or so after my first fill. It was AWESOME. I went out to eat with my husband and I ordered a salad with chicken and a Margarita. I maybe could drink 1/2 of my Margarita and 1/3 of my sald, brought the rest home. Actually I didn't want to go to dinner because I wasn't hungry from breakfast, but hubby was starving. I thought "this is what it's all about!" You eat like a skinny person!! It was really short lived though, I guess the swelling went down or whatever. Now, I could eat a lot-I am looking forward to that 2nd fill so badly!!!!

These responses were very helpful to me because I'm at 5.5cc/10, hoping I get there soon.

Just a side note, why are "spots" so hard to find (ex: sweet spot & G-spot) hahaha
