October 29th 2009 Date!

:smile2:Hello All!

I am new to this site. I just joined and I am looking for others who are pre-surg for October. Also, what can I expect from surgery realistically? I don't want to get my hopes up. I know that I will have to work at this too, it is surgery, not magic! :w00t:

Welcome to the site! My Dr. says to expect 1-2 lbs per week and I have been at about 2 lbs per week except a little stall (2 weeks) during the mushies stage. I have only had one small fill. I think I need another. I have had no problems at all no vomiting or anything except a piece of banana got stuck but one little cough and it came right up. I am 8½ weeks post op and have lost 23 lbs. That might seem slow but I am happy to say goodbye to those lbs. I am very glad I had a surgery.
