I am 5 weeks out and have the same problem as you. The first time it happened, the surgeon told me to take Milk of Magnesia...1 tbsp. It worked. The next time it happened, I was 7 days without anything moving. I got desperate and did something stupid...I drank 2 glasses of prune juice, then took a Senna S laxative..(I said I was desperate!!!). Wow, was that the wrong thing to do!!!

Pain, cramping, cold sweats, ugh!!!

So, I have been eating FiberOne Cereal, trying to drink more liquid, using benefiber, One glass of prune juice in the morning when I take my meds... Well I guess I haven't figured it all out yet and therefore am not consistant with the times and dosages, because once again I became very constipated...took Milk of Magnesia again and this time it did not work! So I waited a day or so and gave in to 2 Dulcolax. That worked!!!!!

However, I do not want to become dependant on a laxative like that...I see my surgeon for my first fill on Tuesday and I am going to ask him if he has any more ideas. Probably should ask my diatician!

If you come up with anything let me know!!!! In the meantime, good luck and may things move right along :)
