“In my own life, in my own small way, I have tried to give back to this country that has given me so much,” she said. “See, that’s why I left a job at a big law firm for a career in public service,”— Michelle Obama.

We were wrong.

Michelle Obama, as we reported on July 7, is not served by twenty-two attendants who stand by to cater to her every whim.

She is served by twenty-six attendants, including a hair dresser and make-up artist.

The annual cost to taxpayers for such unprecedented attention is approximately $1,750,000 without taking into account the expense of the lavish benefit packages afforded to every attendant.

Little did American voters realize the call for “change” would result in the establishment of an Obama oligarchy.

The discovery of the additional attendants was made by D’Angelo Gore of factcheck.org and by calls to Katie McCormick Lelyyeld, Michelle Obama’s press secretary.

Mr. Gore launched his investigation of the First Lady’s staff in the wake of an article that appeared on thelastcrusade.org and Canada Free Press on July 7.

The article, which became a chain letter viewed by millions of Americans, reported that Michelle Obama requires more than twenty attendants - - more than any First Lady in U.S. History. It provided the following list of White House staff members assigned to the First Lady:

Readers throughout the country expressed outrage that Mrs. Obama would hire an unprecedented number of staffers in the midst of the Great Recession.

I know you don't think our government lied when we had bush & cheney telling us lie after lie about the Iraq war, WMD's, the cost of the war, how our energy policy was developed, who outed Valerie Plame (bush: "I will remove anyone who had a role in this") and on and on.....

I believe Obama and the White House, not its detractors and opponents. When any of us opposed bush's we were called unpatriotic & supporters of terrorism.

Well, I've seen what the opponents of Obama say and shout and they are the Timothy McVeigh's, the KKK (in nicer "hoods"), the white supremicists and the neo-nazis.

They all hated/hate the government. As I've said before, this isn't about healthcare, it isn't about spending. It's about hatred of Obama.

You opponents don't want the government in the medical insurance business? If that is true, then why don't I see any signs or hear any shouts or read any letters that say:

END MEDICARE, END MEDICAID, END VA BENEFITS?

Because those are all government run medical programs (socialism). So to be against the government extending government run health care to all but not against medicare, medicaid and VA benefits smacks of hypocrisy.

No. It's because what is already done is done! When was the last time you have seen a government program that actually ENDED??!! Trying to rid the government of medicare and medicaid would be a feat that would be impossible. But trying to start up yet another failed program to go along with all the others might be easier. We are trying to stop the gradual, continuation towards socialism. Full fledge socialism starts off with small additions of social programs over time till it eventually is full blown and people look back and say stupidly,"How did we get here?"

And here's the other side, a video from CNN about the preacher who hates Obama and prays for his death. It is worth noting the man with the assault rifle at the Obama even attended this church during this preacher's hate speech - in which he justifies it WITH THE BIBLE!!

The only reason why I posted the story of the liberal who killed an abortion protestor was to show that there are wackos in every group out there. You seem to want to insist that all conservative christians feel the same way as the man who killed the doctor who performs abortions. This is not so. I will be the 'bigger' person and tell you that I do NOT feel that all liberals think the same way as the one who shot the demonstrator. I can understand that he was a mentally ill person, for all people who murder are not in their right minds. Can you say the same about the rest of us christian liberals? Erykah, When we debate these issues, we don't take what is said personally. We can even go to other forums and be civil and joke with one another once again. Don't worry about it.

Killing each other for any reason is inexcusable. I don’t care how heated the exchange gets or how opposed you are to the other side, violence is not the answer and murder is the extreme non-answer. Having said that, I’m not sure you can really equate this whack-job with the nut that killed the abortion doctor a while back. This guy on Friday was a guy on a killing rampage. He killed the pro-life protestor, then a gravel pit owner for completely different reasons, and was on his way to kill somebody else when they caught him. He was a nut on a killing spree, not a pro-choice activist killing a pro-life activist. Regardless, he should rot in jail for the rest of his unnatural life.

While I agree with most everything Glenn Beck says, I feel that he has a style of speaking that is not proper for the 'Presidency'. He is too funny. Yet, I understand his passion for a national government which is in dire need of salvaging financially and morally. He is on a quest to bring the corruptness of politicians into the light, to those who pay for it financially to continue. He understands that our debt is already unsustainable to us and to make more of it would be maddening right now. He understands that we are already slaves to those we and our great grandchildren owe this money to, and we should not borrow any more for anything else. It's like a family who already has 97 credit cards all maxed out and opens 20 more. There is no light of recovery from such debt. It will destroy us as a country. I know most liberals feel that the opposition is all about our 'hate' for Obama. That's okay. If they feel that way, it is because they know in their hearts that the government is out of control financially, yet don't want to admit it, and need to have some 'other' reason, that will make us look bad, for why we are protesting the government.

IMO, Rep Joe Wilson, while he may disagree with the president, should respect the role of the president. With that said, I also feel that if their is to be a public decorum at these speeches, it should be for all. If the dems who were there were allowed to express their agreements with the presidents statements with their applause and standing ovations, then those who opposed what he was saying should be allowed to express their disagreements as well. If no expressions of opinions are to be heard or expressed then both parties should keep silent. It used to be this way. There was never a time when anyone could applaud or stand or say anything. Also, as a note, the democrats who are demanding a second apology from rep. Wilson did not apologize at all when they did the same thing to Bush at his speech to the congress. I don't usually like to compare one persons wrong doing to anothers similar action, because it looks like I'm saying, "If you can do it, so can we." But I want to point out that it goes both ways. Just like whenever I point out what I feel is wrong that Obama is doing, I get the, "Well, I didn't hear you complaining when Bush did such and so." comeback.

No, social security, medicare and medicaid are not failed programs. It's what keeps people barely out of poverty, in many cases. Social Security has been around since FDR and Medicare/Medicaid since the mid 60's. And all the arguements we hear today about a public option for healthcare are the same arguments we heard then against these programs. And by the same type of people - the "haves". And yet they were passed, the sky didn't fall, the sun rose the next day and millions of people were kept out of poverty.

And I will continue to say that those who are protesting now are doing so because of their hatred of Obama, not about spending. Why else would there be such despicable signs, sayings, confederate flags, etc.. at these protests?

No, social security, medicare and medicaid are not failed programs.

Yes they are. They are all being held on by a shoe string by borrowing from somewhere else to keep up the payments. Obama himself stated that medicare was going bankrupt. You seem to think that if a government program is still operating and benefitting people, then it isn't failing. Not true. An operating program that will financially enslave us eventually is a failure right NOW.

Whenever people protest something, they carry signs. That's how they say what they feel. The dems did it when they oppposed Bush's war as well. Does that mean they had 'hate' in their heart for him, or just that they opposed his plans? None of the signs I saw said "I hate Obama". Also, would you like those who oppose your ideas to say it is because they hate you? I opppose what you say, but I certainly don't 'hate' you, bjean.

A careful eye will notice that the "electrocuted" portion of the sign has been taped on as an afterthought. No, if those who oppose a government run health care option are genuine then they would advocate to privatize social security. Oh no, wait, they did advocate that until the stock market tanked. Now, they are running away from that issue.

Most of medicaid is used for nursing home care. How would you propose we take care of grandma in the nursing home that costs $6000+/month. Who has that kind of money? What would YOU propose we do for grandma who needs 24/7 skilled care?
