My date is 09/08/09! That is if insurance approves me! I am both excited and nervous at the same time. I am excited for not only the outcome but also the journey. I am nervous because it is surgery. I have not told everyone in my life because I know how some people look down on such procedures and because I am just at the beginning and the less negative influences in my life the better. My husband, kids, mother and sister know and they are the only ones who need to. I have to start stocking up on Protein shakes that are not that cheap. I figure I need to pick up a 4 pack everyother day to make sure I have them not only for the 2 week pre-op diet but also the 2 week post-op diet. I hope this site helps me along the way. Don't "over buy" the protein shakes. Find out what your doc wants you to do pre and post op. I wasn't even allowed any protein drinks week 1 post op; and that's not that uncommon. So check, maybe save yourself some bucks!
