Hi all, I went to my regular doctor for annual physical today and my blood work was normal. However she took my blood pressure several times and it was High 140/100 she said she didn't want to put me on BP meds yet, because I meet with the lap band center docs 7/15 (first visit) and to see if it will be high then. She said that if it is high she wants me on meds and wants to see me in september to recheck it. She also said she would be in touch with them regarding this. I have never had any BP issues before except during pregnancy when I was borderline pre eclampsia. I was curious to know if anyone else has had this happen to them and if it resolved without meds.? Is this a comordity? I am pass the 40 bmi and am more worried about my overall health. I REALLY dont want to have to be put on meds if I can help it. P/S she was totally on board about my LB decision and said she is glad that I am being pro active about my health.
