Am I too tight?

I am coming up on my one year anniversary of my surgery and have appt with my doctor to go over everything, lab work, etc. which is required at one year post-op. Anyway, back to my question. I think I am too tight but I don't want an unfill because then I am worried I will be too loose - I haven't lost any weight in two months even though I have had restriction so I am starting to wonder what is going on. In the morning I can barely get my protein shake down it sort of hurts going down by lunch I can only eat about a portion of chicken salad or something like that and then dinner I usually have a cup of hot tea and a lean cuisine - what do you think? Thanks.

Hi there. I'm coming up on one year in Aug. It sounds like you are to tight. I have to have a little taken out. Now when I start to get that feeling I stop. I also go through periods where I loose really slow. For me it is me. I eat wrong and I know it. Think about it. It is a tool. We have to learn how to use it. It is not a no brainer. It needs us to read the band and know when to stop and not slime. If you have warm broth or something it will relax the band. Good luck

I hear ya on the not eating right thing - I guess even though I am not eating a lot at all I am eating things that I know will go down. I just hate to get an unfill and then be able to eat more and still not lose - it has taken me a year to lose 20 lbs but I only had 45 to lose so comes off slower - very frustrating - I do feel better and clothes fit better but I honestly thought I would be at my goal weight by my one year anniversary - Thanks for responding.

Hey I use to think I wasn't loosing fast enough. But.... I'm so happy with any loose at all. this is a life long thing. It is not the end I'm looking forward to because there is no end. It is the journey. This is a new way of doing food. Use your band as a tool. It is up to us. I love the journey. I feel in control. You need to feel in control and not fear the band girl.....You can do it.
