2 Day Post Op!

I was banded on Wednesday the 17th. As of this morning I have lost 31 pounds since starting my 10 day pre op liquid diet. Most of the pain is gone but I am super nausious all the time! When is this gonna end or what can I do to make the sickness go away. Blah!

Daren,

You are very lucky that 2 days post-op the pain is gone. It took about 10 days for my pain to stop. 31 pounds lost on pre-op is awesome. Your off to a great start. As far as the upset stomach goes you should contact your surgeon to see what you can take. Congratulations on beginning your new healthy life.

Daren, my surgeon will send me home with a prescription anti-nausea medication. I'm surprised yours didn't, or at least didn't recommend what you could take over-the-counter to address the nausea.

Give his office a call. They probably have something they can recommend.

And, yes, congratz!

The doc gave me meds but the upset stomach only disapates for about 2 hours then I have to wait another two hours to take it again. I only have about 5 hours of non-sickness a day. From the sounds of it I guess thats the way its gonna be for a while.
