As of today I have finished all my testing and my psych eval. I am sane enough to become thin, got a small haital hernia that will be fixed during surgery and I have an underactive thyroid thats barely functioning (ya think?!?!?!?)

The best news is after smoking a pack a day for 17 yrs. I have no lung damage other than I have asthma. I said good-bye to my menthol friends for good on January 24th cold turkey. I miss them dearly, but am better off without them.......

Paperwork is getting submitted on June 17th to Tricare for approval. Everyone sees nothing that Tricare would deny me banding, especially with my newly found underactive thyroid. And now the waiting begins.....

ohh I sure do hope you get approved. I just found out last week that I was approved. It only took 4 days. My surgery date is July 28th. Just either check the websire everyday or call!!!! LOL Jennifer

my paperwork was submitted to tricare on the 12th.. i am still waiting (after a false alarm for being approved monday). are you tricae prime or standard?

Tricare Prime.. Sometimes its a pain in the tushie, but have never had a problem with anything...... nothing showing on the website today :blushing:

But I am positive I am a no brainer case, lol!!!!! But just know, if you hear of some wacky Navy wife going postal on Tricare in New Orleans, its me!!!!
