day 3, need some help PLEASE

the gas pain finally went away yesterday, but i have been nauseous all nite last nite and all day today. i havent been able to drink too much. Water is all i can really take. i tried some broth, but was only able to get a few teaspoons in.

Last nite i threw up, dry heaves really, since there was nothing in my stomach but a little water. Today i just threw up again, but this time it was bile that came out. I do feel a little bit better afterwards.

Am i nauseous and throwing up because i have nothing in my stomach? i spoke to my surgeon this morning and he said to not take any Protein Drinks yet, since im feeling nauseous, and if i still feel this way tomorrow, he will prescribe some anti-nausea meds.

What if anything am i doing wrong? I feel like crapola.

I ws done on May 22nd and luckily didn't get sick at all. just took it real slow on the water and soup end and really was surprised how little I ate. Am in week 4 startign tomorrow and feel great. Hang int here.

i was done on june 6, and had nausea and was very weak. my dr gave me medicine for the nausea. and now i am in day 6 doing much better actually great )))

Nausea is common after surgery. Just follow your surgeon's instructions; if you are worried about it call back and ask that they phone you in an anti-nausea prescription now rather than tomorrow.

i was banded 2 june. i was also nauseous at first but found it got better after i managed to get some soup down. So for me i think it must have been hunger even though i didn't feel hungry.

I was banded 8th June... and the day after I was dry heaving - seems they just needed to change my anti sickness meds...

As soon as they did that, and I had eaten some soup, I was fine. I'm now on day 4 and feeling great apart from port site pain.

I am sorry to hear that. I had my surgery on June 3rd but I was never nauseated. Did they send you home with a patch behind you ear for nausea?
