Oatmeal

I was eating oatmeal today and now I have this pain in the middle of my chest the extends to under my ribs. I barely ate one of the small children's pouches of it and didn't have anything to drink within 30mins before and after. What's the pain from? Anyone else experience this?

Almost everyone posting will more than likely say you ate too much. That and I think oatmeal tends to swell in your stomach like breads. Maybe try having half of what you did normally?

I ate less than my eighteen month old child does...he eats two of those sometimes. How odd....I'm still getting the pain under my right side of my rib cage and it hurts to turn at the waist....

maybe its not the oatmeal...i was having pains under the right side of my ribs after i ate chicken...turns out the pain is my gallbladder not the chicken....

I never even thought about that. I guess I just relate everything to the band! It just felt really weird in the center of my chest too.

IF IT ONLY HAPPENS AFTER U EAT OATMEAL THAN ITS PROBABLY THE OATMEAL..eventually it got to the point where i was in pain no matter what i ate....i had the pain under my ribs if i drank too much water....the pain got worse and worse....i was feeling it in my back...my shoulder blades...i had an ultrasound and my m.d. saw the gallstones immediately...its common to have problems with ur gallbladder after wls....i can't wait for them to remove mine!!!!!!!!!!!!

oooooo and sometimes u can have gallbladder attacks...those r lovely....especially while exercising....lol

I had the same think when I ate cream of wheat. I couldn't even get through one of the little packets and I had a tightness right under my breast bone. It went away on its own and I tend to think that I ate too much too fast. I'm move careful now to eat really, really slowly.
