Day 8 after surgery--bloating

I am on day 8 post-op and I am having problems with bloating to the point that the area between my breast and my belly button is enlarged. I am miserable. I have only had 1 BM, I had to use a dolcolax supp. then...is this normal? Has anyone else went through this? How long does it last? I have am on a soft liquid diet, which includes yogurt and such consistency.

Thank you for your help!

Sounds like you probably have some gas issues. A heating pad will help. take some Gas-X on the chance that you have gas in your digestive tract. AND, move around as much as you can. Don't just sit or lie around.

Thank you for the Gas-X help! I am walking at least a mile a day, plus the usual jobs as a mom! Where I assume my port is-is so sore that I can hardly touch it! I will get hubby to bring home the GAS-X!!! lol! I remember be excited about him bringing home the bacon, now I have moved to a new high---gas-x! Thank you again!

Make sure you are drinking plenty of water too...good luck I hope you get to feeling a little more like normal SOON!!
