Hi, Im having some issues with getting in enough Protein. I'm 4 mo. out, should i still be taking in Protein Shakes? I still feel like i am not eating enough, though i am not hungery. Does anyone have an example of what they normally eat in a day and how often. Maybe I should be writing my intake down? Also does anyone have issues with swallowing pills?

check out this thread:

to get an idea of what people are eating - there are other threads in the food/nutrition section to get an example.

i will still have a Protein shake / smoothie several times a wk. i try not to treat them as a Meal Replacement - even though it might be the first "meal" of the day.

pills - not such a problem, but i don't take anything other than an asprin here/there.

I'm finally getting alot of restriction with 10cc in my band and now am having problems taking pills. I'm also eating ALOT less these past couple of weeks so I do try to drink a Protein Shake if it seems like I'm not getting enough solid Protein in.

I am 2 1/2 yrs banded and i have a Water with Protein Powder and a Protein Shake each morning. There is no way i can get all my Protein in without them. They also work out great being as im super restricted till mid afternoon, curbs the hunger in a big way. Any medication i may take i crush to powder form before even attempting to take it.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
