ps did i mention im STARVING?

Girl...you are too tight. Usually a fill feels okay right at first then gets tighter as it "settles in". If you are having this much trouble right now...yeah, girl, get a bit of an unfill.

Hang in there banded friend!!!!

omg im about to die not even kidding rofl (ok a little exaturated)

i got up about 20 mins ago and started heaving .. it was just salava but boy omg i feel sick.. i havent had anything in my stomache since my chicken broth 6 HOURS AGO i cant even drink Water right now

can i mention this is the first time ive actually thrown up over and over since way before being banded? even when i had a chicken nugget go down to big it just popped right out and i felt fine.. THIS IS HORRIBLE!!!!!!!

definately going to the doctor tomorrow.. if they pull the "hes schedule is full" shit they pulled last week.. im going to the ER and they will call him down there lolz im not playing around at this point i am *miserable*

One thing I noticed when I was too tight was that water was terrible. Protein shakes slid down easier. Maybe this will help until you can get some taken out. Celeste

ill try it tomorrow for sure if i cant get in.. i dont dare try it now with the chance of being sick all night

Wow, the same thing is happening to me, not as bad as you though. I got my second fill yesterday and i can feel every sip going down. I have not brought anything back up although it's been very close. I logged on to see what i should do about this. Should i wait a few days to see if it get a little looser (is that a word?) or should I call the doctor today? I am drinking my protein drink now and can only take tiny little sips. What should I do???

Laura

Katerezz and Laura I am so sorry you guys are having a difficult fill. Today is Thursday do contact your doctors today because they most likely won't be available on the weekend. If you guys are unable to keep any liquids in you there is a chance of becoming dehydrated.

if you can not get into your dr. go to the ER, i lost my band for this reason, i knew i was too tight but wanted to lose weight so bad that i did not call my dr.righ away and lived in misery for weeks if not months now i'm bandless and have gained most of my weight back, when your band is so tight you cannot get downliquids , it can slip, i know for certain, mine did, slipped so bad i can never have a new band due to the damage that was done

Katterz,

I had the same problem you are having when I got my last fill. Drinking anything cold made it much worse. I went and had a slight unfill and the relief was immediate! I could not eat or drink anything! When I went for the unfill they said my pouch was very swollen. I think it was from all the heaving. My husband won't even go get another fill because he works outside and he is afraid he won't be able to drink Water. Go today and get a little removed. You will be so happy that you did!

called the docs office.. it was the most humorous convo i had. I absolutely love my surgeon.. hate his office crew.

I called.. which calling itself and getting ahold of anyone is like ya right.. you gotta jump through hoops to actual get directly through (luckily i learned a nice trick) So they answer..

I tell them I need to see Dr. Ganser and shes like.. oh an appointment okay lets see.. and i said no i need to get in today like now if possible. So im on hold.. put to three different people some how ended up at the insurance lady and she finally came back on and said he was out of the office today but the nurse will call back.

I like the nurse.. but she hurt me last time she did my fill.. so not looking forward to it but at this point I dont care i just want it out!!!!!!!!

i will be getting my lapband monday, how would i know if my band should be filled or unfilled. This is getting alittle complicated here. I see where people fill are toooooooooooo tight and fell miserable. I am already starving. I NEED ANSWERS AND INFO REAL BAD

will be banded 9-12 really getting afraid again. I noticed people is saying that their fill is too tight - what is a fill and what should a fill fell like to to comfortable

ebonysilk,

You will know if you are overfilled. You won't be able to get any liquid down. You may be able to at first but by the 2nd day you won't. Don't worry about it, I promise you will figure it out if you are. Have a discussion with your doctor and ask what their policy is if you should get overfilled. My fill center doesn't do any fills on Friday just in case you get overfilled. Surprisingly enough, they didn't charge me for the unfill either. Some places do. These are things you should ask your doctor before the surgery because they are all different.

:cross-eye There must be a full moon or something. I've been banded now for almost 4 years and never, ever have I had too tight a fill, that is until this past Tuesday. The last fill I had was a little over 6 weeks ago and he put in 2cc. It was perfect, I mean it really was the best fill I had ever had and I did well. But it doesn't take long before I loosen up and need another fill, so I called and had the appointment on Tuesday. He checked to see how much was still there and it was down to 1.5cc, so it wasn't my imagination that I was much less restricted. Anyway he put in the 2cc and again it seemed a little tight, but I thought nothing of it. When I got home later, I had not eaten anything yet, so I poured myself some ice tea. Man, I could not believe the awful pain. And that was followed by vomitting, something I never do, ever. So I slowed down, drank only sips of room temperature Water (UGH) and decided to drink something warm. So I made myself a cup of hot broth and took very tiny sips at very long intervals, three or four sips and I was puking again. Well this went on all night, no sleep, called the doc at 9:00 on the nose and they told me he wouldn't be in until the afternoon. I said fine, get me in, they argued, of course, they he was booked, and I simply told them I didn't care, I was coming in with or without an appointment, it was their choice. So they finally gave me a 1:15 appointment, went in had .5cc removed, thought I would be fine, came home and I don't know what's going on, but I am still having trouble, liquids are okay if slooooooow and small sips. I was able to sleep last night and this afternoon I was able to take my heart meds finally, so I guess it's getting better.

Hope you with a toooo tight band do as well, god I hope this hasn't caused a slippage, I go in a month for an upper GI, so we'll see.

Thanks all of you for being there and for being so supportive, it's such an unbelievable blessing to have people who understand.

Cindy
