Mushie's Phase

My doctor told me week 2 I can eat mushy food/pureed, so I can begin this tomorrow morning. I am NOT going to be eating any meat pureed- gross. However, I'm curious to what others did for this week? What's acceptable? What were you able to eat?

I'm so glad I made it through the Liquid Phase! There were days I thought I wouldn't!

Hi. I never really pureed anything. When I got to the soft foods/mushie stage I could have baked fish, mashed potatoes, sf pudding/Jello, chicken or tuna salad (canned chicken/tuna mashed up very well with light mayo), scrambled eggs, well cooked vegetables, refried beans, and bananas. Also on my list was potted meat and baby food (YUCK). That was the list that was given to me by my doctor. I'm sure others had different instructions. Always best to stick to what your doctor tells you. Congratulations on making through the liquid stage!!! Take care! Becky

Well, why not eat pureed meat? My husband cooked delicious meats with all the wonderful seasonings and I stuck it in the food processor and pureed it to a fine consistency. You need protein..my doc says 70-90 grams a day...it's either that or lots of protein powder stuff. Good luck!
