Dr. Robert Sass

I'm in the very early process of researching lap band surgery and participated in a seminar given by Dr. Sass. I was wondering if anyone had any experiences with him that they would like to share.

Thanks!

Hi- sorry to be 4 months later replying to your post- I just saw it! Dr. Sass is my doctor and is wonderful. He will go above and beyond to help you if you have a problem. I do recommend, though, if you have a hiatal hernia- to specify that you want it repaired. Mine wasn't repaired, and I have a horrible time with reflux whenever I have even the slightest amount of fluid in my band. I've been banded 2 years, lost 90 lbs. Hope that helps!

Thanks for replying. I've finished my insurance requirements, so i am following up with Dr. Sass on Monday to see about getting the papers submitted to the insurance.

I have to say, I've been impressed with his office and how often they have checked on me to see if I needed anything.

As far as I know, I don't have any hernias. I'll discuss it with him though!
