Come On SC!

Where are all the SC people? I know there has to be some banders out there? Come on and lets talk and get to know each other. I was banded on the 30th of June. If you are new here and want someone to talk to I am your girl. This is the best decision I have ever made for myself and I am lovin' it!

No, Brenda. I have not been to any of the groups. I'd love to go, though. May 7th? What time and where?

They meet 1st weds of each month, 6p-8p at the Lexington Med Ctr auditorium. In the blding where the seminar was.

Pretty sure I can be there. Let's touch base again closer to the date. Look forward to meeting you!

I'm not from Myrtle Beach, but thought I would say Hi and welcome you anyway. Are you banded yet? Tell us your story!!

I used to live not far from MB, but in NC, right after i got married. Do you know where Tabor City is?

I am relocating to Greenville this week. Where is this support group. I am going to be missing mine back in Texas.

What is the LapBand scene like in upstate SC? Looking to get plugged in and stay on track with my weight loss.

tskelli....I won't be at the support grp on May 7th. Riverside just called me. Now I'll be in lapband mood that day!!!!

They had a cancellation so they bumped me up from the 13th.

I will be there on June 4th...will check back with you then if not sooner..take care until!

So you're surgery got bumped up? That's great!! Be sure to let me know how everything is going. So your surgery is on the 7th?

Support grp meets at lexington Hospital in Lexington SC...come join us!!

is that in Columbia? How far away is that from Greenville? Are there any sup. groups in Greenville?

My new date is on the 7th now....oh boy!!!!

Lexington is right outside of Columbia.

You would be coming in on 26 towards columbia, but then take 26 to Charleston. As soon as you do, the hosp exit is less than a mile. From greenville, it will take about 1 and 1/2 to 2hrs, depending on traffic. I don't know of any in Greenville.

Just wanted to jump on here to say hi. I'm new to the boards and have just began my lap band journey. I had a consult with my PCM May 13th, received a referral which was authorized for 4 visits with Dr. Tribble @ Palmetto Regional and attended the seminar May 19th. My next scheduled appointment isn't until June 23rd :wink2: but I can't wait. I'm just super excited about finally being able to lose this weight and keep it off. If anyone out there has and experiences with Tricare, I'd love to hear from you!

Hi! I am using Dr. Tribble too! My surgery is June 18th. There are quite a few people here who are on Tricare. Check the Insurance and Financing thread. Keep in touch and let me know how you are progressing. Good luck!
