On the way!

Hi Everyone,

I am on my way to being banded sometime (I hope) in late May, 2009!! I am in the process of jumping through the hoops of the insurance requirements. What I am having a really hard time with is cutting the carbs!!! Does anyone out there have anything they can tell me on how you mastered this?? Thanks a bunch and can't wait until my big day!! :w00t:

Thanks a bunch!

I was a carb freak. I would do Atkins and last a day - 1.5 tops.

I was on liquids for two weeks after surgery and was so worried about screwing up my band - that a stuck to the liquids hard core. When I moved on to solids I really didnt have the same carb "high".

I do notice on days when I eat more carbs - I want more carbs so I try to really avoid them. The good news is that I do crave them the way I once did thanks to the band.

Good Luck

Wow, I'm glad to hear this about not craving carbs as much after the band. I'm the same way -- the more carbs I eat, the more I crave them. So, thanks for this post! You've given me some hope! :)
