Ready to get a move on!

Well, here I am. After lurking around and greedily devouring all the info and messages on this forum I am going to throw my line out...

I have seriously considered and researched WLS for three years now and have finally come to the place where I feel confident that this is for me. I am going for info session on Tuesday, and my consult with surgeon on Wednesday, at the Cleveland Clinic in Weston, FL. I am really looking forward to taking these these first important steps. I am so ready to be a bandster:banana !

Congratulations on making the decision to go for it. You have found the best place for online support right here.

Congrats on your decision. I'm not sure where Westin is, but if your anywhere near St. Pete - check into Dr. Ernest Rehnke - Palms of Pasadena Hospital. He's a wonderful doctor - the staff at the hospital was great too. I'm almost 4 weeks out now and doing great. My friend, Jen, is getting her surgery done there too on August 30th. Good Luck.

Thanks guys. I really appreciate the encouragement!

HotLikeMe - Weston is in South Florida and my doctor here (I live inthe Cayman Islands which is about a one hour flight from Miami) is affiliated with the Cleveland Clinic Florida so it makes good sense for aftercare and follow ups for me to use Dr. Szomstein at CC. I am self-pay and CCF is no bargain, but my research indicates that they have an excellent program with a comprehensive follow up and support. I am glad to know that you have had such a good experience with your Dr. and your band!

Just want to say hi, and welcome you here. Ditto what everyone has told you about the best site for info and support...this is it! Great people, honest people, funny, caring...good luck to you, and am looking forward to hearing about your progress! Cindy

Yay you! Welcome to LBT and out of lurkdom! Good to have you here and best wishes on your banding journey. Let us know how your consults go and what you learn at your info session!
