Just banded 02/19/09

Hi I was banded on 02/19/09. I've lost 20 pounds. The hardest things for me is the diet you have to follow I did not know that it would be this hard. I'm confused on what I should eat plus I miss eating real food. I want to chew my food and I'm just sick of the creamy mushy foods. Can someone please tell me how you made it through these first few weeks? I know it will get better but it just sucks while your having to go through it.

hello! i was banded on 02/11/09. I am now onto the last stage of the diet before the real deal begins. during the mushie stage i ate ALOT of beans. also i ate yogurt, jello, soups, and i even ate some red meat (but chewed it very well) and lots of mashed potatoes. you WILL get thru it! i thought it would never end, but im now on the last stage of the diet, and i am so relieved that i made it! :]

Lane77, the only thing you can do is try to get some variety in your diet. It does suck, there's no way around that, but it is oh so worth it.

Just hang in there and keep your eye on the prize!

Congrats to All on here..I am down 18 lbs now as of 1.28.09..I eat alot seafood chicken beans protein shakes and the key is drinking water..omg i feel like i live in the bathroom at times..I enjoy cooking healthier meals in my house..my family is on my diet too but my daughter is 2 years old so she eats carbs that I cant have..its a journey no doubt about it but I am in it to win...Good Luck to you all..

Thank you all who replied!!! It's nice just to talk to someone who knows what it feels like to be going through this first stage. My son and husband try but they have no idea what it's like. Thanks again and good luck to us all!!!
