Hello to all, I was banded on 11/21/08 and now am going to have a hysterctomy and am scared that this may cause complications with my band. Can anyone offer any advice or share their stories with me? Thanks for the help.

I have had three (3) surgeries since my lap band procedure and no complications with the band. Six months after the band I had my gallbladder out, four months after that I had a total hysterectomy (they opened me up through my stomach-27 staples!) and in September of 2008 I had foot surgery!! Just let your lap band surgeon know of the procedure and put him in touch with the surgeon doing your hysterectomy and they will advise you what to do. Good luck, I will say a pray for you.
