It's the gas....

I have to same feeling for hours. I like to just walk around for while and try to release it.

It's pretty brutal but I do think it's common amongst Lapband patients.

I also had chest pain after eating. I now recognize it as being overful. Try eating slower and chewing better. Doing this allowed me to tune in to my body and realize that I have had enough to eat before I get to that point of having chest pain. I was banded 14 months ago and have lost 110 pounds. 20pounds left to go! I wish you the very best in your journey!

Hi Linda,

I'm 3 months out and had a recent fill about one week ago.I'm now experiencing chest pain too after I've eaten too much.Wow it can really hurt.:tt2: I'm slowly learning to slow down as well.I guess old habits die hard!:tt2:

I was hoping that it was the feeling of restriction. I am just beginning to eat solid foods again and I guess I just went a little crazy. I try to count while chewing and take smaller bites but you're right.... old habits do die hard. I get SO worried that I am going to slip my band or stretch my pouch when I eat anything. I have my first fill in 2 weeks and I wonder if I even need it. Is this always what restriction feels like? Is it common to not need a fill? I guess I will be giving my Dr. an earful when I see him :tt2: Thanks for all the advice!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
