Soda vs. flat soda

:rose: I have seen on here that most Dr.s do not recoommend soda after LB surgery because of the carbination. Does anybody know if leaving a soda out and becoming flat ok to drink? I often will open a soda then put it in the refrigerator to the next day and drink it. Just curious about insight on this. Thanks!

My doctor has said that an occasional flat soda is OK. It's the carbonation stretching the pouch that he doesn't want to happen plus the calories if it's not diet soda.:rose:
