Too Tight after two months???

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone!!its been a LONG while since I have posted. I had surgury 3-7-08 coming up on my one year anniversary and I am down 149 pounds. I am now what my doctor calls the "maint. stage" mainly because I lost most of my weight in the first 7-8 months. I think the last 15 or so I can do with just working out. ANYWAY here is my question the last 2 or 3 fills I had alot of trouble. I was too tight got dehydrated and had to be admitted(Fluid removed) then next fill same thing..got sick once (fluid removed) my doctor and I decided that since my weight was satisfactory for me that we would not add any more Fluid UNLESS I needed it....that was umm like 2-3 months ago. Now all of a sudden I cant keep solids mushy or otherwise down. Even liquid only sits for a while then has to come up. Tea has been ok but I am DYING for a glass of water! Has anyone heard of all of a sudden after soooo long getting too tight?? I should also mention that I had a bout with the stomach flu and I was thinking that maybe thats where the swelling started and now thats why I am too tight? I can't think of anything else. But I haven't eaten anything solid in over a week!! any ideas? I do have an appt tomorow but I just thought I wold ask if anyone has had the same prob!. thanks!!

It does sound like the stomach flu caused inflammation. Talk to your doctor, because it sounds like you should get an unfill until the swelling goes down. He/she will make sure to keep your best interests at heart. You are a success story and everyone loves that!

Congratulations on the great work and I hope you feel better soon. Please update after you see the doctor.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
