Extreme Belching???

Recommended Posts

Let me just give you a brief intro, was banded 4-23-08, one fill, still have restriction, but I think I'm eating too fast, I take big bites, barely chew, (Believe me I know this is bad) (In the beginning I was terrified to get anything stuck but now that I have "tested" my band, I know what I can get away with. After a few bites, I get pressure, which i do stop, and then an enormous need to belch, which i do eventually. Once I belch, I could eat some more, question is should I? I know I have fallen back into bad habits, thanks to the holidays. I think I want another fill, but doc says that if i still have restriction, if he puts anymore in, I'll be PBing a lot. He says you should only come see me when you can eat a lot more and feel less/no restriction. WHat do u guys think? Does belching mean I'm eating too fast or too much? I feel like if I was at a "sweet spot" I would HAVE to eat slow and chew really well. People that I know that are banded are surprised that I have only had one fill.

I have problems when I take to big of bites. I get then feeling of pressure and aches in the pouch. I will the stop. Walk around or slip a little to see it the food will move. I then look at how much I have eaten. Sometimes that it's and I throw the rest away. Other times I wait a bit and then continue the meal. I find if I swallow to big of bites even if I chew really well I can have a problem, then I want to belch and usually can't. What I would give for a big belch sometimes..The nurse says I'm taking in to much air. Funny thing is that can eat the cup of food and feel satisfied sometimes not always. So am I at my sweet spot I really don't know..

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
