I just joined the site. I haven't been banded yet, I still have a few steps left before it is submitted to the insurance. Hopefully I will find something out the beginning of Feb. Is there anyone who could tell me what to expect once I am approved? About how long the process is before surgery?

As far as scheduling, I think that varies from doctor to doctor and how busy they are. I would guess the mid range would be around four to six weeks.

I didn't have WLS insurance, so I can't answer what you might expect once your approved. Once I decided to have the surgery, I had to attend a nutrition class, get a psych eval, and have a med eval.
