I'm new here!

Hi, I'm Traci and was re-banded on Friday, Jan 16, 2009. I was originally banded in 2003 and lost about 80lbs...I had band slippage in 2006 and gained all my weight back...so I decided to have the band hooked back up! I am in alot of pain, but it's getting better every day!! I just wanted to say hello!

I'm wondering how long you knew that you had a slippage? I went for a fill last week and they took it all out and put me on liquids for the next couple of weeks to see what is going on. I was overly adjusted back in May last year and had not had a fill since. I'm preparing for bad news thinking now that I may have to get a new band. Can you tell me more about your experience and why you may have had the slippage?

Hi Carla- I couldn't keep ANYTHING down...liquids would come back up...it went on for 24 hours and then I went to the dr's office, he did a fluroscopy and told me it had slipped...I had emergency surgery that afternoon. Not good. Hope yours does not turn out like that. Good luck to you.
