Hello all,
I am a 38 year old mother of 2. I have been researching the lap band procedure for about 6 months, and finally made the call to the doctor yesterday. It must have been fate, because this doctor has a 6 month waiting list, but had decided to open up another date if the patients had internet access (to get all the paperwork done before the visit). I have my first appointment next Thursday, the 15th.
The thing that scares me the most is that I won't qualify. About 2 years ago, I was diagnosed as having a pulmonary embolism, and I'm afraid that will keep me from being approved. Now that I've made the decision, being told no would be so disheartening!
