I told my hubby the same thing, he might be a sweetie but I'd of killed him if he delibrtately did that. I hope the blue guy was about to loose it and knew it and just made it look like he did it for her for the game play part of it.

You mean the amount of time total the longest members are on the ranch? They've already been there six weeks and they are just now doing the individual eliminations. Six months is too long, but six weeks just passed.

yeah - the at home contestants were gone for a month (that's 4wks right there). i understood the show to be 3.5 months .... depending on how early you get kicked off.

i as well like tara - but you know if she falls below the yellow line - she's GONE!

I think it's 12 weeks instead of 6 months (that was me that thought 6 months). I looked it up, but that still might not be right.

I thought what we see in each "weekly" episode was actually filmed over several days. But I did find an article on the web that said something about being there 3 months. It wasn't clear where they got that 3 months from though.

I thought the same thing.

I was under the impression that when they weigh in, it's after a week's time. Three months sounds closer to correct from what I recall when they come back to the show (like they say they've been off the ranch x amount of time). But I can't swear to know because it's been some time since I've really followed it.

I thought this season they were on the ranch longer than last seasons - maybe because of their heavier weights, I don't know.

But, after they leave the ranch, there are sent home with trainer and diet help on a daily basis.

I keep having to explain to DD that it's not "real time" that it's filmed way in advance.

Allison Sweeney's pregnant belly is the key to that. At the finale in December, she was 2 weeks from her due date, then now, for this season, she started w/a little barely-there bump.

Which, really impresses me about the time management skills of the producers, since they often do "timely" episodes for holidays and Super Bowl, etc. How can they do that exactly to match up to the corresponding holidays? I don't have the patience for that kind of meticulous planning.

Did anyone see that the biggest loser is now selling a protein to go drink and a protein shake? I saw online that GNC sells it. The to go drink is $10.00 (40 cal, 6 g protein) the shake is 14.99 (50cal, 6 g protein).

Are these prices for single servings?

I've noticed a lot of product placement in the show this season.

Shake is a 10oz tub and the to go is 8 packets. You mix them with water instead of milk.

I also noticed one team member...brown maybe?...went to refill his water in the gym and put some powdered protein in it. I guess it's the same product they're selling.

TV Guide had a good article about the show. They said the prouct placements help to keep it on the air.

24hr fitness pimps it out as well.

there is a huge display when i walk into the gym - should just have my trainer give me a packet & try....as i hate plain water. be worth a shot.

With all the commercials during a show, Brita, 24 hr fitness the gum and all the products they sell on the website I would think they make major money. I have to admit I bought the green bottles, the gum and if I could afford it I'd have the calorie in out arm band that measures everything.

I tried out 24 hours and couldn't stand the ads all over the walls (ads for bread where you work out??). And too many people. I'll stick with my small gym for women. Although I do miss working out with me:wink:

They aren't as accurate as a Heart Rate Monitor and you can get a really good HRM for about $100, way cheaper than a BodyBug.

I don't like 24 Fitness either. Luckily we have a free gym at work. No spin classes or pool but most of the classes at 24 Fitness were not at convenient times anyway.
