Hi from Staten Island, NY

Hi Everyone - I was banded on Monday, Dec 29, 2008 at Staten Island University Hospital - North Shore. Can't believe after 6 days, I've lost 17 lbs :tt2:. I'm so happy I decided to do this but I will admit, I am getting bored of protein drinks, decaf tea and jello. Can wait to move up to soup.

Hi FD - I was in the hospital overnight and to be honest, it wasn't that bad. The meds did help. While there is pain, it really isn't as bad as I thought it would be. I can pretty much move around on my own. The doctor's office told me I'd be out of work for about 2-3 weeks but I'm not going to rush it. I think it's best to just go back when i feel 100%.

I hope you get your def surgery date and wish you the best of luck.
