I am a diet controlled type 2 didabetic. I was wondering if anyone had any issues with low blood sugars once starting the pre-op Medifast? I am concenred about it and the way they told me to deal with it is an oz. of protein- cheese meat etc ....

If they told you how to deal with it, apparently they've had diabetic patients and that worked. Why not try it?

Mrs. Kimball, I am also type 2 Diabetic and did not have a problem with lows during my two week liquid diet. I drank Slim Fast. I am now having problems with lows since my weight loss because I have not had my medications adjusted yet. I have to check my blood more often and keep juice or a piece of candy handy. Good Luck
