  1. I was banded on 2/4/09- 1st 1cc fill had to be removed, but have pretty good limits with just bad so far.. still losing etc ... I am getting married and honeymooning for 8 days in Key West in August- and I was looking for some advice, ideas on how and what to eat- during this time.. When you go out to fancy restaurants-- do you just avoid the salad and bread etc.. and wait for meal to arrive?? ANthing you can offer would be helpful..
  2. Okay .. looking for some vetern advice here. I am 5 weeks post op and had my 1st fill on Friday: Procedure wasnt bad. PA put in 1cc to give me a total of 3 cc's as 2cc were in place already. I instantly had pain drinking water like it just set like a rock in my chest and was gurgling in the back of my throat- she said this will settle down and let me go. I didn't know any better- so I left. It NEVER settled down. It hurt so bad and I didnt want to call and bother Dr over weekend so I suffered-- until Sunday evening. Met Dr at ER and he took out 1.5cc's INSTANT RELIEF. My question is--- If I can't even take 1 cc how are they ever going to fill this thing without me being in horrible pain???? I cant believe that 1cc would give me this kind of restriction where i cant hardly get water down.
  3. I was banded 2/4/09 and am back to work today- a little slow and pokey, but doing okay so far. Mostly feel tired from lack of nutrition. Still doing 1 medifast shake and 1 inst b'fast a day along with lots of Vitamin Water, juices, Jello etc ... Had bad pain in shoulder from gas they use in procedure but walking and rocking helps that alot. I started pre-medifast at 240 and am now 212  Dont really have a hunger feeling yet.. but still pumping in liqs. Go for post op check on Friday
  4. Has anyone else experienced the carb withdrawl- feeling so tired and crappy while on Medifsat? I am only on day 2 of a 4 week journey prior to surgery- And I feel so crappy. I can have nothing but the 5 Medifast shakes per day. I feel like I am in a fog
  5. I am being banded on 2/4 and have started the Medifast liqiud ONLY this next 4 weeks. Day one was fine- but today I feel very weak abd shakey. I thought my sugar was low but its actually higher than norm. (128) I can have nothing but the Medifast shakes- and 1 C broth :tongue2: I also quit smoking 3 days ago so could be that too I suppose??? Just wondered if anyone else experienced feeling "weird" on MEdifast
  6. I am a diet controlled type 2 didabetic. I was wondering if anyone had any issues with low blood sugars once starting the pre-op Medifast? I am concenred about it and the way they told me to deal with it is an oz. of protein- cheese meat etc ....
