Help..am I on the right track?

I had surgery Monday 12/29/08. Since, I have only lost one pound. I'm drinking clear fluids and following the diet. Is one pound normal?

This is a time for healing. You won't really start to lose until you have had several fills and have good restriction. Right now you are following the phases of the post op diet to allow your band to heal into place (no slipping or erosion later on) etc. So yes, follow the diet perfectly but realize the point right now is NOT weight loss. It may be several months, once you've recovered, before you start to feel full on less and lose consistently.

If your hunger isn't back yet, it will be. That's normal, too. Still stick to the diet post op that your doctor prescribes, and you'll be set for great success!

I was also banded 12/29/2008. I lost 19 lbs. on my week of full then clear liquids during pre-op. Post op I think I've lost 1-2 lbs. We are still swollen from sugery and meds. I am very, very hungry. I know it's discouraging. I've been on clear liquids since surgery and haven't lost a lot, I think it's normal, though.
