Was just recently banded on December 22, 2008. All my incisions are healing well. The area around the port is still swollen and I can actually see the port (about the size of a apple) through my skin...

Looks a little wierd, I have to admit. Is this normal? Is swelling around the port also normal? Incision is healing nicely, not red or anything...

Others than this issue, I have had zero complications and this is begininng to worry me. Should I be worried at only a week or so post-op?

Hi there, it's the swelling of th muscles around the port. It was attached to an abdominal muscle and it's a aise effect. I had this happen after surgery and after my first fill I was so concerned that I had a leak because of the lump but dr. said everyone reacts diffrently and that was my way of reacting. Congrats on your new tool.:wink2:
