Just getting started in Washington

:) I just wanted to say hello from Olympia Washington. I am just starting the process. I was just accepted into my insurances "Bariatric Surgery Case Management Program. I have received a checklist of things to do and get started. I am going to my first support group a week from this Thursday. I am so looking forward to getting the ball rolling so to speak. I know as I get things done and checked off the checklist I will have a ton of questions.

How long did it take most people to get it all going and actually get the surgery done?

Thanks

Hi Cheryl!

From the time I mentioned to PCP that I was interested in the Lap Band to the actual surgery date, it was just over a year's time. I had to go through six months of the dietician appointments, then many more with my surgeon and pre-ops.

It was all worth it... and will continue to be as long as I stay on the plan. It's no easy quick fix, but if you are ready to change you life, the Lap Band will help you!

BEST WISHES!!
