First week

I was just banded on 12/22. Any suggestions or tips on how to get through the first couple of weeks? I am supposed to be on liquids the first 10 days and really want to stick with it but could use some tips on what other people have done. It is nice having a forum to go to to talk to others who have gone through this!:tongue2:

I just did what my doctor said. I learned the hard way. I had clear liquids for one week...that was a no brainer. At least 64 oz of water and clear broth. That was what I was allowed, essentially. Second week I got to add in protein shakes (thank goodness!) Just don't eat anything until your doc says YOU can (different posters have different diets!) and you'll do well. It's HARD...so be gentle with yourself, but tough it out! It will pay off and be so worth it!

For me Isopure clear liquid protein drink was the best way to get my protein its 40 grms of protein per bottle, also sugar free jello. Another thing I do is whisk up the jello when its liuid with low carb, low fat evaporated milk and let set makes it a little more tasty then reg jello. Have been on mainly clears and some soups for 10 days, start mushy next week , so far down 11lb since banding on 12/15

Good luck its not too bad
