Hi everyone
I am (who I like to be known as Grammy, cause my grandchildren are what it is all about). I had my lap band surgery on Wed December 17. I couldn't believe how easy it was (at least so far). I must have had a great surgeon, Dr. Boorse. I really had very little pain post op. Didn't have to take any pills for pain. Am home 2 days and now can hardly feel it. I went in as prepared as possible. I was on Atkins 2 weeks prior and lost 13 lbs. I am sure that helped. My only problem since surgery is diarrhea. I have had that for 2 days now and I am hoping once I am able to eat yogurt and cream of wheat, etc, I will stop that. I also have irritable bowel. Anyone else had that problem post op? Good to be here and talk to others who are going through the same thing or are about to go through the same thing. My point is to be healthy and enjoy the rest of my life with my wonderful husband, children, and grandchildren. I also want to make a success of this because my son is overweight and is watching me to see how I do. Who knows, maybe I will be a good example and he'll have it done too. I sure would love to see him get healthy again. Hope to hear from some of you and your stories
