tight after second fill

after my second fill it brought me to 5.5 cc in my 10 cc band. nothing has come up yet but i do feel super tight. when i drink water it sits there in my chest and can cause some pain, then will go down. My question is. I need to eat and im hungry but i feel so darn tight. is there a way to loosen it up in the morning so im able to get anything down?

u may need a little unfill or you may be drinking too big a sip of water too fast. I just had 1 st fill 2 weeks ago and feel no restriction in my 10 cc band and got 4cc's so far. I hope I feel it at 5cc like you. From what I hear, we have to chew every bite 25-30 times before swallowing and the bite we take should be really small.. Also, we should take between 30-45 minutes to finish 3 or 4 oz of food. I'm a little scared when it finally kicks in as I am a very fast eater. I'll have to re-train myself on how to eat. But, if you have tried to eat like we are supposed to. I'm told it shouldnt be a problem. Good luck to us both.

I just had my second fill today. My first fill was 2cc in a 10cc band. I had no restriction and was always starving. Today they added 1 cc, so in total 3cc. This is much different than the first fill. It is harder to eat now, and when I have tried solid food, it is agony and my mouth gets all slimy. I am chewing and chewing, but it is still hard. Soup goes down fine. I can drink liquids fine also. Just wondering, over the next few weeks, does it get easier to eat solid foods, or do you think I am too tight?

Hi Chicama, From my experience it sounds like you are too tight. Usually if you are having your water just sit there for a while you will need a slight unfill. I know you think you can tough it out but at this stage it probably will stay this tight. Waiting for it to loosen up and hoping to lose weight so it will loosen is kind of futile. I think you will feel better if you have some taken out. I now have 5.6 in a 10 cc band and I feel pretty good but I have had many experiences with a too tight band and it just doesn't get better. Good luck to you.
