Hi Donna,

I'm Cat and I'm from WTH orginally. I just had my lap band surgery 12/1 and it took a lot of work to get there. But I did. Medicaid did pay for part of the band. The other part is paid my Medicare for me. You need to contact your local medicaid office to find out what you need to do to get your band paid for. Since I'm in Indiana I doubt we will be the same, but it seems that most Medicaids do pay for the band. Good luck!

Hi Cat nice to meet you. I am going to call medicaid today and see what they say and try to find a dr that is safe to do the lap-band. I know that Indian takes IL medicaid. who did your surgery? and does he take mediciad?
