December 3, 200817 yr I am starting my pre op Optifast diet tommorow! Read my blog! My banded life....
December 3, 200817 yr Hi BubblyBandit, I read your blog and felt like you were writing for me. I too start my pre-op diet tomorrow. My surgery is next week though on 12-9. It is amazing how we all experience similar things. I have felt like my last meals were my lasts. I have gained weight since the start of this lapband journey but tomorrow starts the turnaround process. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. May we overcome together.
December 3, 200817 yr Hi, This is my first post, I am also scheduled for surgery Dec. 9. I have already started my pre-op diet. I am doing fine so far and am determined to do this like the doctor has instructed. I am looking forward to be thinner and healthier a year from now. Good luck to all.
December 4, 200817 yr The pre-op diet is not so bad. I had chicken broth, tea, water and sugar free jello....oh yeah, I had a cup of no sugar white grape juice. I will go to bed early and be ready to start this again tomorrow. It was not as challenging as I thought it would be at work (for lunch). We are on the road, lets keep the good work going.:cursing:
December 4, 200817 yr GI Jane, I am so glad you made it through your first day. I feel the same way it is not as bad as I thought. I am OK with watching people eat, it is the smell of food that is hard for me. My husband promised not to cook during the liquid period. I feel bad for him but I am glad he is helping me. Take one day at a time and Dec. 9 will be here before we know it. Good luck tomorrow.:cursing:
