I'm new!

This is my first attempt, and I'm technically challenged. I'm looking for help on when to expect feeling results from my band. I had surgery 6 weeks ago and am having my 2nd fill tomorrow. So far, I'm losing by sheer will power but could use some help from the band. I guess I want to hear about other people's experiences in the first few months. I'm down only 6 lbs. from surgery date, but lost 20 lbs. before surgery. I'm a little frustrated because my eating habits have changed drastically. Can anyone share some encouraging info?

Sometimes it takes a few fills before you will feel any difference. It's hard to be patient, but once you have the right amount of a fill, you will only be able to eat a small portion and you will stay full for a long time.

A lot of it is willpower though, because there are slider foods that go right through the band. If you do your part and not eat things like ice cream where the band can't control the portions, you will lose weight.

Go into the section that says General Lap Band support, and you will find a bunch of people who are newly banded. It really helps to have the support of others who are going through what you are going through.
