Diet Pills?

My friend and I were banded in Feb. 2008. I have lost 54lbs and she has lost 72 lbs and she is already at goal. I guess what I am trying to say here is that she started taking Xenadrine 7 wks ago and has lost 13 lbs since she started it. Is it safe to take these kinds of pills after being banded? We have both gotten the same amount of fills and we both have the same amount of restriction, yet she started taking these to reach her goal weight faster.

My thought on this, is that she should not be taking these, but she swears by them and that they ultimately got her to her goal faster.

Any ideas out there about this?

I am very weary of any diet pills.

I tried taking them before i even decided to get the band, and the pills really messed up my blood pressure.

I opted to get the band, because I was done with doing things in an unhealthy way, and really wanted to lose the extra weight once and for all.

You gave yourself the gift of health when you decided to get the band. Please do not do anything that moves you back to your older unhealthy ways.
