If you've been depressed since April you need to discuss it with your primary care provider. Seriously. Some have transient depression but 7+ months isn't transient. Good luck. You need to take steps to take care of yourself.

I've heard of people getting depressed in the first 2 months after surgery because they aren't able to eat as much as they used to, or they aren't able to eat the foods they used to love. That kinda thing can certainly cause depression of some kind.

But if you've been somewhat depressed for 7 months, I would say there's something more going on in your head and you should go talk to someone.

Good luck!
